About the Program

The Chicago Opportunity ISA Fund helps Bottom Line students from the Chicago area cover the costs of earning a bachelor’s degree and persist to graduation.

You can apply for $2,500—$25,000 in funding to help you cover

  • Tuition

  • Living Expenses

  • Books and Supplies

  • Account balances

Specific amounts you qualify for depend on the total cost of attendance at your school. Use the ISA calculator tool for this program to see what your contract terms would be.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Bottom Line student from the Chicago area

  • At least 17 years old

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Full-time status during the term for which you’re seeking funding

  • Meeting satisfactory academic progress (SAP) criteria at your school

  • Enrolled in or transferring to a bachelor’s degree program at an eligible institution (below)

Schedule an Intro Call

If you’re a first-time applicant, give us a call at (651) 401-8401 to learn more about ISAs before you apply.

Complete the online application

Create an account on the student portal and complete the first steps of the application. If you already have an account, you can skip this step and sign in to apply.

We will review your request and create one or two ISA contract proposals within two business days.

Review Your Terms

When you receive a text that your contract terms are ready, log into the portal to review the proposal(s). Sign the contract with the terms you prefer, and BFF will prepare the funds for disbursal to your school.


Complete Final Disclosures

As a final step, review and sign final disclosures. After three days, your school will receive the funds and apply them to your account.
